Lee's Summit Democrats met at Summit Park to share food and conversation Saturday, November 8. Members brought food items for Lee's Summit Social Services for local families in need.

We’re teaming up with the Jackson County Democrats for weekly canvasses every Saturday at 10:00 AM, starting from Lea McKeighan Park – South (near the shelter).
Each weekend, we’ll be knocking doors, connecting with progressive-leaning voters, and collecting signatures for two critical petitions — the Citizens Veto of Congressional Gerrymandering and Initiative Petition Protection.
This is a great way to meet neighbors, ease into door knocking, and make sure voters’ voices are heard!
Location: Lea McKeighan Park - South (by the shelter) 125 NE Chipman Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063.

If you’ve already been trained to collect signatures for these issues, feel free to join us and collect signatures. If not, no worries we are still going out and talking to Democratic voters about Democrats up and down the ballot!
New to canvassing? No problem - we’ll start with progressive households only, and you’ll get a quick training at 10:00 AM before we head out.
